Short, because there is not much to say. The calculators do not send your figures anywhere. We store something only in the two places you ask us to: the newsletter, and a saved goal.

The calculators

Everything you type into a calculator is worked out in your browser. Your assets, debts, age and targets are not transmitted to us, not stored, and not visible to anyone. Close the tab and they are gone. We do not have a copy, which means we cannot lose one.

There are two exceptions, and neither happens unless you ask. The first: if you use “email this statement to me” on the net worth calculator, those figures are posted to our server, rendered into an email, sent to the address you gave, and then dropped. They are not written to our database and we keep no copy. The email itself says the same thing.

The projection calculator has a share link. It carries the assumptions you set — a target, a monthly amount, a growth rate — and nothing that identifies you. The net worth calculator has no share link, deliberately: that figure is the most sensitive thing anybody enters here, and a link is exactly how it would escape.

The second is a saved goal. If you set one on the goals page and ask to be reminded, we store what you are aiming at, the date, the assumptions you chose, the label you wrote, your email address, and anything you later tell us about your progress. That is the whole of it. We do not store what the goal costs a month — that is recalculated every time the page loads, so there is no figure of yours sitting in a column anywhere.

A goal has no account and no password. The link in the email is the only way into it: it is signed by us, it cannot be edited into somebody else’s goal, and it expires a little over a year after it was last sent. That also means we cannot get you back in if you lose the link — which is the cost of not holding a password for you.

Setting a goal does not put you on the newsletter. They are separate decisions with separate boxes. Every reminder carries a link that deletes the goal, its history and the reminders together, immediately and with no copy kept.

The newsletter

If you subscribe we store your email address, the page you subscribed from, the date, and a record that you consented. We use it to send the UK Wealth Blueprint and the weekly letter.

Subscribing is double opt-in: you are not added until you click the link in the confirmation email. Every email carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately. We do not sell, rent or share the list.

Email is sent through Resend, and subscriber records are held in Supabase. Both act as processors on our instructions.

The lawful basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing or by emailing hello@swealth.co.uk. We keep the record of consent itself after you unsubscribe, because being able to show that a person agreed is the reason the record exists.

Analytics

If — and only if — you agree on the banner, we use Google Analytics to count page and calculator use. Nothing is loaded before you answer, and answering no means no request is made at all. See cookies.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of what we hold, have it corrected, have it deleted, or object to our using it. Email hello@swealth.co.uk and we will deal with it within a month. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that affects what we do with your data, subscribers are told by email rather than by a silent edit.
